Roles of a Club Captain
1. Be a positive and supportive leader. As the captain, you are responsible for setting the team’s tone and helping motivate your teammates. This means encouraging them to do their best and supporting them in their efforts, both in and out of the pool.
2. Set a good example. As the captain, you should be a role model for your teammates. This means showing up to practices and meets on time, giving 100% effort in every workout, and being a positive and supportive presence on the team.
3. Communicate effectively. As the captain, you must be a strong communicator to keep the team organized and on track. This means communicating with your teammates, coaches, and parents clearly and concisely and ensuring everyone is on the same page.
4. Be organized and prepared. As the captain, you must be organized to keep the team running smoothly. This means ensuring everyone has the necessary equipment and gear and that all meet and practice schedules are communicated clearly.
5. Stay focused and motivated. Being a successful swim captain requires a lot of hard work and dedication. This means staying focused on your goals, staying motivated even when things get tough, and pushing yourself to be your best leader.

What to say to your team as a Club Captain?
